Welcome to Meg’s Kitchen

Before you browse through the workshop schedules, recipes, or the other interesting stuff on our website, I would like to share something about me

I am Megha – Yes that’s where Meg’s Kitchen comes from and I Love Food!

I would assume it’s your love for food as well, that brings you here! Now that’s a good starting point for our journey together. Meg’s Kitchen isn’t just a website or a blog, it is a platform in the virtual world where I get to live my dream life. I get to connect with you all, discuss, talk, share and learn so much that there is in this beautiful culinary world around us.

It started off 10 years ago for me. I was a food enthusiast who only loved to eat but didn’t know how to cook. As life progressed, I traveled to the UK to do my masters and missed the food back home immensely. Skype calls with my Mum, came to my rescue and I began a new journey into the food space. It was only much later that I realized how passionate I was about what I eat, how it’s cooked and that I love feeding everyone around me! Creating something new became a source of pleasure, happiness and utmost satisfaction! I got hooked onto it and never have I looked back ever since. As they say,

“Once you make the decision and truly wish for it, the Universe conspires to make it happen”.

Desperate to learn more and hone my skills, I landed up with an internship at a leading 5 Star Hotel Kitchen in Delhi.

My happiness knew no bounds and I was well onto a new phase of my life. I started loving each minute of what I did, and finally knew the meaning of “love your work”!!

From experimenting and doing orders from my home kitchen, I took a decision to move to a commercial facility and set up a Studio Kitchen for myself. It was the awareness of the time I spent struggling due to lack of guidance and experience that gave birth to Meg’s Kitchen!

The Studio Kitchen became a channel for me to share my experiences, success, failure, lessons from those failures and all that I learned through this journey of an amateur to getting trained professionally and working. And that is my vision of a workshop at Meg’s Kitchen –

I want you to learn in a way that makes you a confident baker or food creator back home and not experience the missing links in your recipes anymore.

I shall also be documenting my everyday culinary experiments, age-old recipes, regular home food that I cook for my family and friends and the not-so-regular innovations I shall be trying my hands on. I welcome you all to live my dream along with me!! See you soon here on this forum again or maybe at Meg’s Kitchen studio itself!
